Timely Presence was founded by Kelly Edmondson, MSN, MBA, RN, NEA-BC — a nurse executive, grief-informed advocate, and mother who lost her son, Darius, in 2023. In the months that followed, Kelly experienced firsthand how grief support often fades after the funeral — even though the ache of loss remains.

Guided by both her professional background in healthcare leadership and her personal commitment to compassionate service, Kelly sought additional training and obtained her certification in grief counseling to ensure Timely Presence’s mission is grounded in evidence-informed grief support practices — combining empathy with expertise.

Through her own journey, Kelly saw a common challenge: people want to help, but don’t always know how to show up beyond the first days of sympathy. That insight became the foundation of Timely Presence — a year-long sympathy gifting service designed to help people offer meaningful ongoing support through thoughtfully timed memorial gifts.
